Each week Ginny has Yarn Along on her blog: “~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs. I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Take a single photo and share it either on your blog or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us! “
This is what I started on this week… multi-colour (rainbow-y) merino Minnesota mitts, which are mitts that have fingers plus a hood to cover them for extra warmth. The pattern is in Folk Mittens, a book I’ve had for over a decade and keep coming back to. Though, with spring approaching I might take a short-cut and only make them into fingerless mitts 😮
The novel I was reading was Fool by Christopher Moore. Warning! This book is kinda raunchy!! There is even a bit of a disclaimer in the beginner warning readers of the potentially offensive material inside. I inter-library loaned it after listening to an audiobook by the same author. Though sometimes it goes a bit far for me, I have to say that I don’t think any other author could have pulled off a bit about Shakespeare and Dr. Seuss in the same line and had me laughing.
