For a few years running there has been a sweet weekend celebration in Silverton, BC called Christmas By The Lake. We made a quick trip there this weekend to enjoy. It is an outdoor event with live music, huts with food and drink, bonfires in pits, chainsaw and ice sculpture artists, fresh roasted chestnuts, and a few rooms of vendors selling beautiful arts and crafts indoors. Not to mention the grinch, santa and a gingerbread man running around!
Check out this photo that I made enroute~ colour effect is “au natural”.
Looks like someone was discovered having one too many free hot chocolates!
Chilly, but beautiful ice sculpture.
Taking a break after making art with the classic Canadian tool.
Wooden outdoor hut.
The road is snowy and icy, but the views make it worth it!
I forgot to mention the neat ice slide that always had a line up. Sculpted out of ice and tons of fun! It made for plenty of tuckered out kids, mine included.
