Just put together a blog post that is scheduled for tomorrow on http://natural-kids.blogspot.com/
Here’s the picture of the not-too-noisy noise maker I made for it:
Not-too-noisy Noise Maker on NaturalKids Blog tomorrow!
Last Minute…plus Little Felt Gnomes.
This morning I posted a little How-To on The Natural Kids Blog (click on the blog link). It’s called: Last Minute Door Decoration Tutorial. You can find it there for the full post. Enjoy!!
Pretty in Green
Just made a quick snap of this duo and I love the greens the girl is wearing. Going green is easy!!
The Winner Is..
Thank You for entering the giveaway here and on my Facebook page for the wooly gnome. We put all the names in a silver ski helmet (it seemed appropriate this time of year) and at 8:00 my daughter pulled out the winning name… it’s Gloria! Congratulations!!
WIN THIS WOOLY GNOME in my GIVEAWAY!!
One-of-a-kind wooly gnome (retail value $95.00) by amazing artist Monica Robinson up for give-away! He is a wool armature (meaning he has wire in him) and he’s about a foot tall. He is quite sturdy, but because wool bits pose a hazard to young children, he is not for those under 3.
Entry details below photo:
TO ENTER: Leave a comment on my blog or on my “Woolhalla” Facebook page and answer the question: “I Love Gnomes Because…”. If entering on blog please leave email so I can find you! One entry per person, please. Winner will be chosen at random.
I will mail him anywhere as long as winner is willing to deal with any local customs, brokerage or tax fees, etc. He will be coming from Canada, so Canadian and US residents shouldn’t have any of the aforementioned. I will not be able to replace him if he is lost in the mail. He will be shipped at my cost. If you are the lucky winner he might even arrive before Christmas!
Contest closes Monday, Dec. 13/10 at 8:00 am Pacific Time.
Dollhouse Family with Baby
Beautiful custom dollhouse family! I just love the girl, she’s the cutest!
Actually she wins the cutesness award!
Christmas By The Lake
For a few years running there has been a sweet weekend celebration in Silverton, BC called Christmas By The Lake. We made a quick trip there this weekend to enjoy. It is an outdoor event with live music, huts with food and drink, bonfires in pits, chainsaw and ice sculpture artists, fresh roasted chestnuts, and a few rooms of vendors selling beautiful arts and crafts indoors. Not to mention the grinch, santa and a gingerbread man running around!
Check out this photo that I made enroute~ colour effect is “au natural”.
Looks like someone was discovered having one too many free hot chocolates!
Chilly, but beautiful ice sculpture.
Taking a break after making art with the classic Canadian tool.
Wooden outdoor hut.
The road is snowy and icy, but the views make it worth it!
I forgot to mention the neat ice slide that always had a line up. Sculpted out of ice and tons of fun! It made for plenty of tuckered out kids, mine included.
West Coast Mermaid Designs
Are wool felt and fish (and other things from the sea) an unlikely combination? I don’t think so, I think they are GORGEOUS!!!
West Coast Mermaid Designs recently won an award at Circle Craft and then had her fish in a major Vancouver newspaper. Talk about ‘catch of the day’… sorry, I just couldn’t resist!!!
Here’s some eye-candy from the talented WCMD below. Join her FB page for contact info and more photos so you can get in on one of her beautiful creations.

Waldorf Doll Face
Are waldorf doll faces like poker faces? They aren’t supposed to give much away, leaving expression to the imagination of the child (or adult!). The waldorf-style face I mean!! I better stop before I dig this hole any deeper!!
Above is a pic of a close up on the doll face of a doll I listed on etsy today: http://www.etsy.com/listing/62919771/waldorf-doll-16-inch-little-pink-deer
Probably shouldn’t mention the poker-face thing again!!
Dollhouse Doll Family with Silk Wings!
I’m just SO excited about this custom dollhouse doll family I finished making! I haven’t even edited all the photos yet, but here is one to share below. The family has removable silk wings that I am delighted with~ and were inspired by all the silk wings we have played with and sold over the years from Sarah’s Silks.
